Boracay tourist information – what to do
Boracay is world renowned for its glistening white sand deep blue waters that rival that of the its neighbouring South Pacific countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, and even the Caribbean. The island is popular all year round because it offers a plethora of activities that can be enjoyed by both visitors and local residents.
January is the best time to go if you want to witness one of the Philippines’ most notable festivals – the Ati Atihan Festival – which is celebrated along White Beach. The Boracay Food Festival starts mid-May, around the same time the Beach Reggae Festival is held. If you are staying after Christmas until New Year, be sure to attend Balabag’s Village Fiesta towards the end of December.
